I just saw Christophe HonorĂ©‘s film Dans Paris at the IFC Film Center last night. I rarely head to the movies—I think the last film I saw in theaters was Troy (or am I exaggerating?) Anyway, I mention this for two reasons: 1) the film was great; 2) Kim Wilde’s 1981 hit “Cambodia” has been riveted to my brain. The song plays when the main character has a special moment back in his old room with his old records. Here’s the video, so you too can have Kim’s catchy, melancholy magic running through your head all day.
