A tie between Netherland by Joseph O’Neill and We Disappear by Scott Heim.

What was the best movie? Slumdog Millionaire What was the best song/album? Song: Sam Sparro, “Black and Gold.” Album: TV on the Radio, “Dear Science,” Favorite Blog? It’s still fourfour.typepad.com. (blogger’s note: I am obsessed with Rich, the proprietor of fourfour’s, cat.)

Who was the person of the year?
Barack, obvi. Followed quickly by Jack Donaghy.

What is your New Year’s resolution?
To pleasure-read 50 books.
